Marrakesh / MAROC FASHION WEEK
Good Morning, Classy People
Last weekend was filled with my duties as a blogger. I had the pleasure of attending Maroc Fashion Week in Marrakesh after being invited by fashion designer Mina Binebine.
On Saturday morning, I covered the press conference for Morocco Mag.
The event kicked off with a general introduction, followed by specific insights into this year's edition. Each participant in the fashion show provided a brief presentation of their upcoming work that would be showcased later that evening.
The press conference took place at the Moroccan Culinary Arts Museum, a place I was discovering for the first time.
I loved everything about it.
It reminded me of my grandparents' home in Marrakesh. The riad features a delightful mix of closed and open spaces within its interior.
Today, it serves as a café-restaurant, a boutique for Moroccan products, an Andalusian garden in the back, a two-floor museum, and a rooftop.
For the press conference, I chose a white shirt paired with flowy, silky printed pants from my 2020 designs. I added a leather belt for contrast and wore wedges to stay comfortable while navigating in heels.
Typically, I opt for a work or office-style look for such events, but since this was related to an artistic activity, I decided to add a creative twist to my formal work outfit.
That evening, during the fashion show, I showcased one of my designs from THE MOROCCAN WARDROBE. A Moroccan dress is versatile and suitable for numerous occasions, and this one was a perfect example.
It featured a beige creamy color with an elegant cut, adorned with artisanal Maalam work.
The fashion show itself was a fairytale, featuring a stunning variety of designs. Four shows were scheduled, and I loved witnessing the diverse creativity as different designers sculpted the runway with their ideas.
The styles ranged from traditional Moroccan and Azeri to contemporary wear, creating a breathtaking showcase.
I will be sharing pictures of my favorite looks from the night under this post.
I shared more details about my attendance at this event on my Instagram.
I'm also thrilled to take you in a visual trip with an exclusive gallery showcasing the stunning moments I captured during Maroc Fashion Week.
