MY MOTHER'S DRESS
Good evening, Classy People!
Today, my mother is styling me in the way she used to before I turned 10 years old. During the first ten years of my life, she was my one and only stylist.
I remember waking up for school, going to the bathroom, then downstairs to have breakfast with my family. After that, I would return to my room and find my outfit neatly placed on my made bed.
My clothes were either folded or hung in my closet, but when my mom picked my outfit, she would lay out the top and the bottom together so I could easily see how the pieces combined. However, as I hit my pre-teen years, my desire for independence grew, and my mom eventually stepped back from that task, which I believe brought her so much joy.
Now, in my twenties, I reflect on those moments and feel inspired to reconnect with my mom in a different way. I want to allow her to enjoy the nurturing motherhood activities that make her happy. So today, she is styling me, and instead of rummaging through my closet, she offered to share one of hers dresses, and I enthusiastically accepted!
Diving into the world of printed garments can be both thrilling and daunting
Prints can add a vibrant touch to a wardrobe, but when not styled carefully, they can veer into the realm of looking cheap.
If you’re unsure about mixing prints, I recommend playing it safe and sticking to just one print per outfit.
For a foolproof look, consider opting for a fabulous one-piece printed outfit.
Keep your bag and footwear solid in color, aim for one of the colors that appear in the print to create a harmonious vibe.
If you're sporting a printed top or pants, go for a sleek monochromatic match in one of the colors found in your print.
