John says Moroccan people spent their Ramadan nights with family or friends but you own a different perspective when you are a foreigner.

John added that every night became an opportunity to discover Casablanca from another angle: Empty streets and long deserted boulevards.

He captured a moment with his camera, then another…He shared his shots on social media, and then people start responding to his concept by sending pictures of their cities 5 minutes before Iftar.

John says that he still can’t believe the number of people who got involved with #5MinutesAvantLeFtour, it’s superb!

I discovered the concept on Facebook and decided to be part of it.

Arrived in Morocco 13 days ago and snapped some moments from El Jadida City.

The other good news is that John selected my photographs among his gallery for an exhibition in Casablanca.
